Most people have never seen a cat like this, it has massive paws that act like snowshoes. We are speaking of the Canadian Lynx, a wild cat that is at least twice the size of their domestic feline counterparts. It has unusually large paws that act like snowshoes in very deep snow, thick fur and long legs, and its hind legs are longer than its front legs, giving lynx a stooped appearance.

The Canadian Lynx is a solitary creature and prefers to hunt at night. Although not particularly fast, they possess big eyes and acute hearing, making them very good hunters of the night. In 2010, it was estimated only 110,000 lynx were in Canada. Let’s hope the population stays that way for this majestic animal.
